"Take a short look out of the window."

It seems so good sometimes, as life is so hectic, just to enjoy a moment and take a short look out of the window. Each one of us has our routines that we get involved in and that keep us extremely busy. There are demands, deadlines, and dreads in all of our lives that can keep us anxious if we allow them.
In the middle of it all, it is nice just to take a short look out the window. The gentle breeze blows softly as the colorful changing trees sway slightly from side to side with the grace of a pageant queen’s one-handed wave in a parade. Then there are the fluffy white clouds that make their way lazily across an unspoiled blue sky. What a beautiful sight! I am so thankful that I can see and enjoy what God has created. It reminds me in a glance that, even though I am in a hurry, God is not. The demands, deadlines, and dreads seem to take on a different light as I remember that God is in control, and He is not in a hurry.
Let me encourage you to take a look out of your window. Wherever you are, look around you and see what God is doing in your world. Don’t miss it! You can’t spend all of your time looking out of the window, because there is work to do. But, you can take a short look out of the window. When you do, you will receive a blessing that will lift your spirit and help carry you through the day. So, I encourage you to relax a moment and take a short look out of the window.
